Flow Rate down Waterfall or River Bed
| This is a personal choice due to varying tastes. Some like a trickle whilst
others prefer a fairly substantial flow. We have found the best way is to use
mains pressure with a garden hose so that you may vary the flow to your own requirement.
Once satisfied keep the hose going at the same rate and pour into a 10 litre bucket. If this takes 30 seconds to fill you have a flow rate of 1200 litres per hour. |
Calculation Explanation
10 litre bucket 30 seconds to fill = 20 litres per minute.
20 litre bucket per minute x 60 minutes (1hr) = 1200 litres per hr.
