FISH SELECTION

COMETS- (approx 4-6cm)

These are one of the hardiest of all Goldfish and they can attain a length of 15cm in as little as one year. They are also one of the fastest swimming Goldfish which makes them difficult for birds and cats to catch them. Excellent pond fish.

Comet

SHUBUNKINS- (approx 4-6cm)

Similar to the Comets but they are multi-coloured. Look great among the
other fish. Excellent pond fish.

Shubunkin

WHITE CLOUD MOUNTAIN MINNOWS - (approx 2-3cm)

A delightful small fish (approx. 4cm full size). They originate from streams in mountain areas of China. Very hardy and will accept high or low temperatures. They are egg layers and breed readily. Great supplement to Goldfish.

White Cloud Mountain Minnows

FANTAILS- (approx 4-6cm) - OUT OF STOCK

Mixed colours. Very pretty Goldfish with double tails which makes them slower and more susceptible to predators Recommended for covered ponds or aquariums.

Unpacking Fish

When your fish arrive the water will be discoloured and although the bag contained Pure Oxygen (no air) when packed the fish will have been using up this oxygen for the last several days.

Also, the temperature and pH of the water in the bag will probably be very different to the pond or aquarium water in which you intend to place the fish. Your fish need to be introduced to their new water gradually. Follow these steps:-

1. Place the sealed bag of fish into their new pond or aquarium water and allow to float for about 30 minutes.

2. Open the bag and introduce an equal amount of water from the pond or aquarium to what was in the bag.

DO NOT USE NEW TOWN WATER.

3. After about 10 minutes repeat step 2.

4. After another 10 minutes submerge the bag and pour the fish into their new home.

NOTE: The fish will be blinded by light when you take the bag out of the carton.

Be patient and give them time to settle down and relax in their new environment. It may be a few days before they eat and respond to your presence.

Ramshorn Snails

All ponds need snails.

Ramshorn Snails are a natural filter for your pond.

They consume algae but not your plants!

Please Note:

Fish and Snails cannot be sent to Tasmania due to import restrictions
